Back in the USA & wired together

eating an everything bagle with sun dried tomato cream cheese, listening to Democracy Now, coming over probably one the best college radio stations in this little place called Seattle. learning how to type in a 4 and 1 pattern...right hand is really only good for one finger, while the left is good for about four of them...thumb is kinda finicky.

so the official count, four factures, busted the right wrist, now a few wires and a screw hold it together, the left forearm got some attention with a new plate, while a hairline facture in the elbow is more annoying than concerning, and to finish off the cocktail, the kneecap is now being held together by a "H" pattern of wires...mix all, place in cast and brace, and let simmer in the absence of nicotine as it aint good for bones that be healing.

accidents are annoying, there really isn't any logic to them...afterall, if there was, they wouldnt be would they? this all happened as I was preparing to pack and organize my departure from PA..variety of factors, ego, lazyness, and perhaps anxiety caused a miscalculation as I was climbing around the loft beams. took a mis-step, thinking I would land on my feet, the knee and arm took the brunt in a rolling fashion, and there we are.

will be in Seattle for the next few months, as doctors and physical therapy makes more sense in this neck of the woods. have defered SF until the fall.

taking time debating whether I am american or not...am leaning towards the other side, might just be the knee, but none the less, am exposing the brain to americana, catching up on movies, writing a bit, depends on pain quite frankly, reading a bit, and catching up with old friends.

for the most part that is the short and sweet...will write more soon.

Paris (not in texas)

Just when I thought that I would be getting around to decrompressing the public intervention that I imposed on the people of Pont Aven this summer, meaning the Aven Project, things are really tightening up for the show in Paris at MAC 2006. Nearly all the prints are made, mostly framed, photographs, catalogues, short film, and there are a few drawings that I would like to do...time will tell on that part. I attached a few images of what I am working on for the expo including a concept photo of what I am hoping to do in addition to the individual stand, the tape on the doors is me.
The expo should prove to be exciting, to be honest, it is causing quite a bit of anxiety, the potential of 12,000 visitors, plus the other 130 artitsts exhibiting at the same time...and not to mention, a bit intense, as the expo is only up for four days.
Anyways, just wanted to post this as a few people were asking just exactly what the expo was about...so there you have it. Will do a download of the Aven at some point in the future...but for now, I should get back to work...more later.

London calling...

I found this a while back, http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/yourgallery/, and intiatially didn't think that it would amount to much. Apperently, it has...there has been an online competition and a few "winners" were selected. I wasn't one of them but the work that was selected is quite good, check it out for yourself here, http://arts.guardian.co.uk/yourgallery/.

So in a deflated egotistical response, I decided to update my page on the Saatchi pages...we shall see what transpires. Here is what I put together...http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/yourgallery/artist_profile//4975.html

moving on through on and on...

Broken french and broken english...that has been the story for the past two years on this extended trip in France. Things are still going strong, am getting ready for the expo in paris, have made a few prints that I am quite happy with...hope to have them online soon. Quite frankly, my heart is torn as I have made many friends here in PA and it will be sad to leave, however, my friends and family in the states are calling, and it is time to become reaquainted.

That is all for now, as it is nearly 3 in the morning here and things are winding down. much more soon...for now...a+, a la prochaine...a tres bientot..
